Exploring the Timeless Splendour of the Poy Sang Long Festival
In the ethereal embrace of Mae Hong Son’s northern province, the Poy Sang Long Festival unfolds, painting a vivid tableau of vibrant hues and ancient customs. From March to April, this annual celebration illuminates the region with a tapestry of faith and cultural richness, drawing both locals and global travellers into its enchanting embrace.

This introduction of new flight options expands choices for Laotian travellers seeking new experiences and facilitates seamless travel for both countries. It not only bolsters tourism, trade, and investment but also enhances overall connectivity. Moreover, it fosters the integration of international travellers within the ASEAN region, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a central hub for tourism and boosting its potential as a key Aviation Hub in Southeast Asia.

Despite the availability of air travel, a significant number of Laotian tourists still prefer land travel. In 2023, 919,401 Laotian visitors travelled to Thailand, marking an 88.71% increase from 2022. The top destinations included Nong Khai Province, Bangkok, Chonburi, and Khon Kaen. These tourists enjoy immersing themselves in Thai cuisine, exploring historical sites, indulging in nightlife, and engaging in beach activities, showcasing a vibrant blend of cultural exploration and leisure experiences.
