Thai Vietjet reintroduces cross-regional services between Phuket and Chiang Rai in response to the surging travel demand between these two cities.
The service is set to commence on October 29, 2023, featuring four weekly flights.
Woranate Laprabang, the Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet, has emphasized the substantial positive impact that the relaunch of flight services between Phuket and Chiang Rai will have on tourism in both cities.
“Phuket and Chiang Rai have maintained their prominence as major destinations in the South and North, respectively. With the swift recovery of domestic tourism in Thailand, we have witnessed a resurgence in travel demand between these two cities. We firmly believe that the reinstatement of flight services connecting Phuket and Chiang Rai will play a pivotal role in bolstering tourist numbers in both locales, thus presenting a more convenient travel option for both business and leisure travellers,” says Woranate Laprabang, the Chief Executive Officer of Thai Vietjet.

In the initial phase of service resumption, the cross-regional flights connecting Phuket and Chiang Rai will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with an approximate flight duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes.
