Air Japan, a low-cost carrier operating under All Nippon Airways, is set to launch flights from Tokyo to Bangkok starting on February 9, 2024.

The new service will connect Narita Airport’s Terminal 1 with Suvarnabhumi Airport, offering six flights a week initially.

The airline plans to increase the frequency to daily flights by April 2024, within the next fiscal year.

Air Japan aims to attract inbound tourists from Southeast Asia with its competitive offerings. Despite having a seat pitch and reclining function similar to All Nippon Airways, they have managed to reduce fares by eliminating fuel surcharges and introducing separate charges for seat assignments, checked baggage, and in-flight meals.

For travellers from Tokyo to Bangkok, one-way air tickets will start at JPY 15,500 (USD 108, THB 3,766). Additionally, the airline has introduced family-friendly fares, with children under 2 without a seat priced at JPY 5,000, and children 6 or younger at JPY 8,000.

Passengers will have a variety of in-flight meal options to choose from, including Japanese boxed lunches, priced between JPY 800 and JPY 2,000.

The air ticket is now available for booking at Flyairjapan.com/en
