Marriott International has signed an agreement with Jee Teng Hospitality to introduce the 600-room Sheraton Nai Harn Beach, marking the brand’s debut in Phuket. The beachfront property will be situated on a secluded stretch of sand on the island’s southwest coast, offering a high-end retreat for families, couples, and event planners.

This milestone venture strengthens Marriott’s presence in Thailand’s leading resort destination. The company, which previously partnered with Jee Teng Hospitality on the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort in 2020, will operate more than 1,000 rooms across Phuket, with three additional projects in development.

Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific (excluding China) at Marriott International, said the deal highlights the region’s growing potential.

Sheraton Nai Harn Beach
Sheraton Nai Harn Beach will be nestled at the tranquil Nai Harn Beach, on Phuket’s scenic southern tip.

“Sheraton Nai Harn Beach not only brings the Sheraton brand to Phuket for the first time but also underscores the area’s importance as a premier travel destination,” he said.

Marriott now has 17 hotels and resorts across Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi, making it the company’s second-largest market in Thailand.

Beachfront Luxury in Nai Harn

The Sheraton Nai Harn Beach will span 4.3 hectares, offering direct access to golden sands and the turquoise waters of Nai Harn Beach. Most of the 600 rooms, suites, and villas will feature uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea. A dedicated beach sports centre will provide activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding.

The resort’s design will reflect Sheraton’s modern aesthetic, with communal spaces intended to foster connection. Facilities will include two swimming pools, a fitness centre, and a spa with six treatment rooms specialising in Thai-inspired massages and wellness therapies. A Kids’ Club will cater to families, while 763 square metres of function space will accommodate weddings and corporate events.

Nai Harn Beach is known for its relaxed ambience, boutique shops, and a lively beachside night market. The scenic viewpoints of Promthep Cape, famed for its sunsets, are just 3 kilometres away, while the historic streets of Phuket Town are a 30-minute drive from the resort. Phuket International Airport is about an hour away.

Strengthening Phuket’s Hospitality Market

Saharat Jivavisitnont, Executive Director of Jee Teng Hospitality, said the project aligns with the company’s vision for Phuket’s tourism industry.

“We are excited to bring Sheraton to Nai Harn Beach and create a hospitality experience that meets the rising demand in this vibrant market,” he said. “Our goal is to deliver a resort that sets new standards and offers unforgettable experiences for travellers.”

The Sheraton Nai Harn Beach will be the fifth Sheraton-branded hotel in Thailand, joining existing locations in Bangkok, Koh Samui, Hua Hin, and Pranburi. Marriott International continues to expand in the region, reinforcing its commitment to high-end travel experiences in one of Asia’s most popular island destinations.
