Thailand brought a splash of its food, culture and hospitality to Tomorrowland Belgium as anticipation builds for the music festival’s first Asian edition near Pattaya this December.
Festivalgoers at Tomorrowland Belgium were given an early taste of Thailand this summer, as the country gears up to host the first Asian edition of the global electronic music festival later this year.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introduced the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary at the Belgian festival, using food, traditional performances, wellness rituals and interactive experiences to offer visitors a preview of what awaits when Tomorrowland Thailand arrives at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya from 11–13 December 2026.
The activation also served as an introduction to a longer-term partnership between TAT and Tomorrowland, which is bringing its large-scale festival concept to Thailand for the first time.
At Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, held at De Schorre in Boom, between Brussels and Antwerp, the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary invited festivalgoers to discover the spirit of Thailand through the Sabai Sabai Route. Across the festival’s two weekends, visitors encountered traditional dance and drumming, regional flavours, Thai-inspired cocktails and wellness rituals, alongside contemporary interpretations of the country’s cultural heritage.
Daily performances drew on traditions from Central, Northern and Northeastern Thailand, with participatory activities encouraging festivalgoers to do more than simply watch. Incense blessings and gong ceremonies added quieter moments to the high-energy festival, while thousands of visitors received traditional blessing bracelets symbolising good fortune and connection.
There was also a distinctly Thai approach to festival hospitality, with food and drinks playing a central role in the experience. Together, the elements were designed to present Thailand not simply as the destination for the next Tomorrowland, but as part of the character of the event itself.
“We are deeply honoured that Thailand has been chosen as Tomorrowland’s new home in Asia,” said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
She said the partnership was expected to extend beyond tourism, creating opportunities for Thai creative talent, generating employment and increasing international exposure for the country’s creative industries.
The Belgian appearance offered a teaser for a considerably larger production coming to Thailand.
Presented under Tomorrowland’s new global theme, Consciencia, Tomorrowland Thailand will feature six immersive stages, combining the festival’s elaborate production and electronic music programming with visual storytelling inspired by its latest fantasy universe.
The Thailand edition represents a significant expansion for Tomorrowland, which began in Boom, Belgium, and has grown into one of the world’s best-known electronic dance music festivals. Its arrival also places Thailand more firmly on Asia’s expanding international festival circuit, while giving Pattaya another major event with which to attract overseas visitors.
The choice of Wisdom Valley, in Chon Buri province near Pattaya, puts the festival within reach of Bangkok while giving organisers the space required for Tomorrowland’s characteristically ambitious stages and immersive environments.
For Thailand, however, the event is about more than three days of electronic music. TAT is positioning the partnership as an opportunity to introduce international festivalgoers to Thai food, culture, hospitality and contemporary creativity — potentially encouraging visitors to extend their travels beyond the festival grounds.
After offering Belgium a small taste of sabai sabai, Thailand will get the full Tomorrowland treatment in December.
