Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) and Rabbit Holdings, a subsidiary of BTS Group, are delighted to announce the 2026 opening of The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok. This new luxury hotel will be located in the Bang Rak District on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, with its core centred around the city’s historic Customs House. This iconic heritage building, originally constructed in 1888, will be meticulously restored to recapture its historical splendour.
The Langham, Customs House will also feature a former post office transformed into lavish amenities, while a modern extension will house 78 elegantly appointed guestrooms. Rabbit Holdings, leveraging its extensive real estate expertise through the BTS Group’s MATCH platform, aims to enhance the cultural and economic profile of the Bang Rak area with this prestigious project. LHG, renowned for its proficiency in heritage hotel projects, has been chosen to manage the property.

The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok joins a distinguished roster of LHG’s heritage conservation projects, including The Langham, Boston, in a former Federal Reserve Bank; The Langham, Chicago, housed in the Mies van der Rohe building; and The Langham, Pasadena, a property steeped in Hollywood history. LHG is also advancing a similar project in Venice, Italy, restoring an old glass factory on Murano Island.
